Armstrong Riverhawk Softball Field

The new Armstrong School District High School recently completed a state-of-the-art 15,800 square foot softball field. The project was completed by ProGrass, located in Sharpsburg, PA. The $180,000 field has a life expectancy of 10-12 years. The turf grass system uses two different pile heights and three different infill mixtures to create a more natural softball/baseball field look and playability, without the maintenance required for a grass field. Allegheny Mineral’s Worthington plant provided material for the duration of the project.
